227 – LTPM and RTDPP updates published 22 April 2025

Further to Titles Queensland Alerts 224 and 226 relating to changes to leasing practice, the Land Title Practice Manual (LTPM) and the Registrar of Titles Directions for the Preparation of Plans (RTDPP) have now been updated.

LTPM Updates published 22 April 2025

The Land Title Practice Manual (Qld) (LTPM) has been updated and is available on our website.

The primary update relates to Part 7 – Lease/Sub lease and reflects changes to leasing practice, introduces a new version of Form 7 – Lease/Sub lease, and new Form 20 – Lease Declaration.

RTDPP Updates Published 22 April 2025

The Registrar of Titles Directions for the Preparation of Plans (RTDPP) (Qld) has been updated and is available on our website at Registrar of Titles Directions for the Preparation of Plans.

The changes to the Directions primarily relate to leasing practice and providing additional guidance on amendments and post registration corrections to plans and sketches. Attention is drawn specifically to Directions 5 and 23.

Changes to Leasing Practice

From today, the Form 20 – Lease Declaration must be deposited with any previous versions of the Form 7 – Lease/Sub-lease (meaning version 6 or earlier) that are lodged.

There are no additional requirements for Form 7 version 7.

Both forms are available on the Forms page and guidance for completion of both forms is now provided in the LTPM.
