John Humphrey (Chairman and a Non-Executive Director)

Mr Humphrey is a senior consultant to King & Wood Mallesons. He was the Dean of the Faculty of Law at Queensland University of Technology from January 2013 until June 2019.

 

He was a Senior Partner at King & Wood Mallesons between 1998 and 2012 and a Partner at Corrs Chambers Westgarth between 1980 and 1998. He is an experienced Non-Executive Director having previously been Chairman and a Non-Executive Director of Spotless Group Holdings until 31 January 2021 and Chairman and Non-Executive Director of Auswide Bank Limited (formerly Wide Bay Australia Limited) until 31 December 2020.

 

He was appointed as Chairman and a Non-Executive Director of Titles Queensland in August 2021 and he has previously served as Chairman and Non-Executive Director of Horizon Oil Limited and Villa World Limited, Deputy Chairman of King & Wood Mallesons and as a Non-Executive Director of Cromwell Property Group, Downer Group Limited, and Sunshine Broadcasting Group Limited. He has also served as a member of the Australian Takeovers Panel.

Matt David

Matt is an inaugural Non-Executive Director of Titles Queensland, appointed in March 2021.

Matt is a Principal in QIC’s Global Infrastructure team, where his role covers investment and asset management activities across government, social and transport sub-sectors. QIC’s Global Infrastructure team manages over $20 billion in infrastructure assets.

Matt has over 15 years’ experience within the infrastructure sector across both civil engineering and finance roles. Prior to joining QIC, Matt was an Associate Director with Capella Capital focusing on origination, financial advisory and delivery of social, Public Private Partnerships and other concession-based assets. During this time, he worked across a range of infrastructure transactions including rail, ports, logistics, convention centres, and social and affordable housing. 

Matt is on the board of the Port of Brisbane and holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland.

Carolyn Martin

Carolyn is a Non-Executive Director of Titles Queensland, appointed in January 2023.

Carolyn joined QIC in 2007 and is currently a Senior Principal in QIC’s Infrastructure team, where her role is principally focused on arranging financing for QIC Infrastructure’s acquisitions and for existing portfolio companies and managing fund-level debt facilities and foreign currency hedging for its infrastructure products. Prior to joining the Infrastructure team, Carolyn worked in QIC’s Global Fixed Interest team, where she focused on investment grade and high yield credit research on global infrastructure, energy and utilities sectors.

Prior to joining QIC, Carolyn worked at Fitch Ratings for over eight years as Regional Head of Energy & Utilities, Asia Pacific. Carolyn has also worked as an equity analyst at Deutsche Bank and in Corporate Finance at PwC, both in Sydney.

Carolyn holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Queensland. Carolyn is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. 

Greg Dooley

Greg is an inaugural Non-Executive Director of Titles Queensland, appointed in August 2021.

He has more than 30 years’ experience in the financial services and information technology industry, and currently the Director of GAD Consulting and Non-Executive Director for DigitalX Limited, an Australian IT company. 

Greg spent 19 years of his career at Australian share registry business, Computershare, with 13 of those as its Managing Director. He has been a trusted advisor to a large portion of companies listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX).

Greg holds a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University, Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment from FINSIA, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Libby Roy

Libby is a Non-Executive Director of Titles Queensland, appointed in January 2024.

She has over 25 years of experience in executive and advisory roles across the financial services, telecommunications, technology, and travel industries.

Most recently, Libby served on the board of Bravura Solutions, initially as a Non-Executive Director and subsequently as the Managing Director (MD). Under Libby’s leadership, Bravura recapitalised the business and delivered the turn-around strategy. Prior, as MD of Optus Business, she was responsible for revitalising the business division and increasing market share during COVID. Additionally, during her tenure at PayPal ANZ, Libby led the team responsible for doubling the size of the business and diversifying revenue streams. She has also held senior roles at American Express, AMP, AXA and Booz Allen.

The key to Libby’s success has been her ability to leverage technology in highly regulated industries across both local and international markets.

In 2018 Libby set up the PayPal Giving Fund in Australia to facilitate charity in the digital age and has had active roles in supporting joint industry and government initiatives to develop STEM capability and the Fintech industry in Australia.

Libby holds an MBA from the University of New South Wales, a Bachelor of Applied Science from Curtin University and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Libby is also a member of Chief Executive Women and International Women’s Federation and looks to support other women in managing their careers successfully.
